glucose variability and cognitive function

This project examines relationships among glucose variability, cognitive function, discrimination, and diabetes management in Latinx adults with type 2 diabetes, a group whose rate of dementia is four times higher than that of the general population. Using established measures of discrimination, continuous glucose monitors, neuropsychological tests, and at home cognitive assessments (via a cell phone app), we compare how discrimination and glucose variability affect cognitive function and diabetes self-management.
